the 6800 will run q4 or any id game the best. id uses open gl api and nvidia chips are based around that more since they design their chips for cgi before video games. all gaming cards have the same exact chips as their proline cgi animation cards, just the gaming cards have certain things disabled. ati is the same, but their cards are geared towards direct x

hey i got a 6600gt and a p4 at 2.9ghz and i can basically run any game with a decent fps. So get a 6600gt out of those cards and save some money ;P.. i worked at a summerjob last month and ive been saving for a watercooling system so that i can oc some .. but i dont know that much about watercooling, ive just stuffed my comp full with fans lol.. any suggestions? ive thought of this one www.datorbutiken.com/se/default.php?artId=H2O-500741-01its in swedish so just look at the pics.. :Plol

scorp i'd personally go with the 6800. its 256 bit wich really does make a difference. the 6600 is 128 bit and not as fast or as many pipelines. the x800 is as good as the 6800 except for open gl based games (mainly id games) every other game company usually uses direct x, so i guess tween the 6800 and x800 depending on what games you play. the x800 has 4 more pipelines so maybe go with that. outa those 3, the 6600 is 3rd. youll want atleast a gig of ram too
